We are known for our professionalism, craftsmanship, strong client relationships, and supportive work environment focused on teamwork and continued growth.We are seeking a 3rd- or 4th-year Apprentice Remodeling Carpenter with at least two years of residential remodeling experience. This position is ideal for someone who has developed a solid foundation in the trade and is ready to take on greater responsibility while continuing to learn from experienced remodeling professionals.You will work on a variety of residential projects, including kitchens, bathrooms, additions, and full-home renovations. <h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Assist with residential remodeling work, including demolition, framing, insulation, drywall, trim, and finish carpentry</li><li>Complete assigned carpentry tasks with increasing independence and limited supervision</li><li>Read measurements, follow plans, and perform accurate layouts and cuts</li><li>Participate in daily job-site setup and cleanup to maintain a safe and efficient work environment</li><li>Load, unload, move, and organize tools, equipment, and construction materials</li><li>Assist with installing cabinets, doors, windows, trim, millwork, fixtures, and other finish materials</li><li>Maintain and properly care for tools and equipment</li><li>Help manage supplies and communicate material needs to project leads</li><li>Support dust containment, surface protection, site security, and job-site cleanliness</li><li>Identify potential issues and communicate questions or concerns before work proceeds</li><li>Work collaboratively with lead carpenters, apprentices, subcontractors, and Project Managers</li><li>Follow company procedures, project specifications, and all job-site safety requirements</li><li>Represent Hamtil Construction professionally when interacting with clients and trade partners</li></ul> <h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Currently working at a 3rd- or 4th-year apprentice skill level</li><li>At least two years of residential remodeling required</li><li>Working knowledge of demolition, framing, drywall, trim, and general carpentry practices</li><li>Ability to accurately use a tape measure and common hand and power tools</li><li>Experience using cordless drills, circular saws, miter saws, table saws, and other standard carpentry equipment</li><li>Ability to perform assigned work independently while knowing when to ask for guidance</li><li>Strong work ethic and a desire to continue developing within the remodeling trade</li><li>Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail</li><li>Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with team members and clients</li><li>Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and professional job site</li><li>Comfortable using mobile devices and other job-related technology</li><li>Physical ability to climb ladders, work overhead, kneel, bend, and lift up to 80 pounds</li><li>Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license</li><li>Availability to work Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with occasional overtime</li><li>Basic hand tools and appropriate work boots required; additional equipment will be provided</li></ul> <h3>Compensation and Benefits</h3><ul><li>Competitive pay of $20-$23 per hour, based on experience and skill level</li><li>Weekly pay through direct deposit</li><li>Comprehensive health insurance</li><li>Paid holidays and vacation time</li><li>Stable, year-round employment with approximately 40 hours per week</li><li>Tool and workwear allowance</li><li>Bonus program</li><li>Opportunities to expand your skills and advance within the company</li><li>Positive and respectful work environment where your contributions are valued</li></ul> <h3>Why Join Hamtil Construction?</h3>At Hamtil Construction, you will gain hands-on experience across a wide range of residential remodeling projects while working alongside experienced craftspeople.
